I really enjoyed this second installment to the Guardian Archives. I won't go into the premise of the book I will just say it was nice to get the back story on some of the characters mentioned in book 1. I did feel a little more invested in these characters compared to the first book. In this one I actually shed a few tears. In this book we actually span over 1200 years, though a bit heartbreaking the end result was all I hoped it would be. Still a little wordy throughout like the first book but extremely entertaining to read. I recommend this series to all paranormal romance readers. I think you will enjoy it completely. I noticed I one clicked the first 2 books back in November 2014, I really wish I hadn't waited so long to read these, but what's a girl to do so many books so little time.... Now on to Dante's book... book 3 in the series.Product details

I loved the characters in this the second book in The Guardian Archives! This book is full of surprises that I didn't see coming! This is a must read if you've read the first book. I love the way the story is evolving and can't wait to read the next book in the series! Well done Jennifer Sage! I will look for more of your books!
This book is soo amazing and very critical to The Keltor book. No spoilers but you have to read this book to truly love Keltor as much as I do. I absolutely love the spunkiness of Ratha and the drop dead gorgeousness of Daleigh. I love the worlds Sage creates and the studly warriors in Ratha. To Liz, Ratha is a wonderful Mimi ( eeeeeek, which I am A mimi also) so she is very powerful, majestic, a fiesty fireball, and Daleigh's equal. I have all of Jennifer Sage's books and I will follow her superb writings for as long as she continues to write about scrumptios Guardians.
I love Ratha.... the book and the Character. i learned so much from 1.5 it helped me better understand Keltor (Book 1 of the Guardian Archives) so much better...... i truly felt every word in this book, the passion, the love and romance, and the tears.... yes all of it is in this book. the Author (Jennifer Sage) created a masterpiece,,,within a masterpiece... and i cant wait fro Book 2 Dante to come out....if you haven't read Jennifer's books,,, you need to start...i was spell bound by her first two books Immortal Dreams and Immortal Bound.....once i read those two books i became a follower of the Guardians and trust me .... you will too..... thanks for sharing the Guardians with us Jennifer Sage...... magnificent works of art (Rik)
The master storyteller,Jennifer Sage, has produced a novel that has glued itself to my eyes. With each word there is more meaning to this story. I have never read a book that is as addictive as Ratha , The Magic Within. Night after night that I had planned to read a little and sleep, I have read a lot and longed for sleep. Looking into a world of God's and Immortal beings, Ratha, a mere Mortal is bound to an Immortal God to produce a son who shall wield a greater power than ever thought possible. Resistant at first, Ratha is consumed with a desire to be ravaged by her God lover Daleigh and consume his great powers when he is called home. Logan, the Prince born to these two beings enjoys powers not matched by any creature he encounters. I loved this book and will be starting on the next book in the series as soon as my tired eyes open in the morning. Thank you Jennifer Sage for the privilege of reading such a fine literary work of art. Enjoy this book everyone for it is a golden treasure.

I must say, I’m not one for crying or getting too emotional when reading but damn, Jennifer did it.
I don’t think I’ve ever read scenes that made me literally feel the way I felt when reading this. There were several scenes that I had to step away and take a moment.
From the birth of a Guardian to a death that tore our hearts; we discover true love and a love that’s eternal. This novella was packed with everything a good story needs to have.
Jennifer has a way of creating such 3-dimensional, believable characters that while reading, you forget it’s a fictional story but a real account of Ratha and Daleigh’s lives as is unfolds. Daleigh is my new favorite yummy book boyfriend too.
Jennifer has been known for her world building skills and it shows in Ratha's story. Her use of words to make you believe you are a part of the story instead of just reading it is truly an art form she has mastered and mastered well.
There were scenes that I got wonderfully lost reading in that I felt every, single emotion as if I was living it.
Ok, this might be a spoiler but just to give an idea of that emotional scene that tore at my heart, this is just a snippet from the scene that took my breath away.
“She collapsed to the earth next to him. Clasping his hands in hers and kissing his lips she let a tear fall from her eyes. “Not yet. Not yet, please. Just a little more time?”…
(continue heart wrenching scene-make sure you have Kleenex)
…“A final kiss to his departed lips and then she fell on his chest once more, legs bound tightly to the warrior on both sides of his body. She knew she was gripping what was already gone, but didn’t care…”
This scene was truly heart breaking!! But don’t worry, there is a HEA.
If you are a fan of paranormal/fantasy, this is a must read to be included in the Guardian Archive series from Jennifer Sage.
If you haven’t read her work yet, you are missing out!
Oh, and if you love HEAT in your books, she’s definitely got it covered with the steamy scenes in this! Reading a love scene from Miss Sage is better than chocolate cake with double-chocolate icing! Yeah, it's that good!!
